Over thirty years of experience with the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for Choral Singing have given the Foundation a view of the successes but also the weaknesses of French professional vocal art, especially today as key players are changing positions.
On the strength of this expertise, the Foundation has developed a grant-awarding policy to:
- help structure professional choirs,
- support training in choir schools and children’s choirs,
- raise public awareness, especially of children
- encourage interdisciplinary projects with a social, artistic or local dimension.
