Le site de la Fondation Bettencourt

Created in 1987, the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller is a public-interest charitable organization. Its aim is to give talented people the momentum to contribute to the success of France and promote its influence.

Our convictions

In a philanthropic spirit, we act through awards, donations, personalized support, communication and co-constructed initiatives in three areas.

The Bettencourt Foundation’s support

Donations

The Foundation supports about a hundred projects each year. They are chosen after a long evaluation and selection process. The Foundation aims to make a real difference through its commitment. It likes to help project leaders reach a milestone. This is why it prefers multi-year grants and sometimes provides large amounts of funding.

Awards

The Foundation gives out five awards: three in science and two in culture. They recognize individuals who have made an exceptional impact in their field. Each year, independent juries choose 13 winners after a thorough and demanding evaluation process. Given in recognition of achievements in a particular field, the awards offer recipients a professional springboard and a chance to persevere on the road to innovation.
